Manuka Honey Face Mask

Our signature face mask: Manuka Honey & Matcha Green Tea and Manuka Honey & Turmeric  has some great effects.  When combined and applied to your skin, it is a potent combination!

Manuka honey can improve your skin’s appearance. It can balance your skin’s pH level and help slough away dead cell debris to keep your skin clean. Its anti-inflammatory effect can decrease local inflammation caused by acne. As an antibacterial, Manuka honey leaves fewer bacteria to infect pores and cause acne. This honey can heal existing pimples, as well. The low pH speeds up the healing of acne.

-Reduce Inflammation

Matcha powder contains a compound called EGCG that helps calm your skin and reduce redness. Manuka honey also has soothing effects on the skin that help de-puff and brighten your face.

-Improve your Complexion

The small particles that make up the powder act as a gentle exfoliant when gently rubbed in a circular motion on the skin. This helps to remove dead skin cells and relieve congested areas that tend to occur around the nose and chin. Matcha also contains vitamin K which can help with dark under-eye circles.

-Fight the signs of aging

Matcha stimulates elastin production which adds volume to the skin and fills in the small creases we start to notice as we age. Manuka honey draws and holds moisture in the skin, providing hydration and reducing the visibility of small wrinkles.

-Fight overactive oil glands

The green super-powder contains tannins which are thought to reduce pore size and moderate oil production.

-It's gentle on all skin types

Being 100% natural and plant-based, matcha is a pretty safe bet when it comes to skincare remedies.

-Reduces inflammation

Turmeric may possibly be of benefit with inflammation related to skin diseases, such as psoriasis.

-Antibacterial potential

Turmeric may also treat and prevent bacteria in the skin that can otherwise contribute to acne cysts and staph infections. (Any active infections should be looked at by a doctor first, though!)

-Acne treatment

With its anti-inflammatory potential, turmeric may be helpful in treating inflammatory acne. This includes:

  • cysts
  • nodules
  • pustules
  • papules

The extract may also reduce the appearance of acne scars.

-Antioxidant power

Turmeric is rich in antioxidants. When it comes to skin care, antioxidants can help keep free radicals from destroying healthy cells. This may prevent the onset of hyperpigmentation, scars, and other long-term skin concerns.

-Reduced hyperpigmentation

Hyperpigmentation has been one focus of topical turmeric studies. If you have patches of skin that are darker than the normal surrounding tissue, this is hyperpigmentation.

-Skin irritation

When applied topically, turmeric may reduce skin irritation.

-Wrinkle treatment

Turmeric is a possible treatment for fine lines and wrinkles. It may work to improve overall appearance in skin texture, which, in turn, may make wrinkles less noticeable.
